So awhile ago I had motionjoy and project 64 on my laptop, well, I had to do a factory restore on my laptop and now I can no longer use a ps3 controller on my laptop. I'll open ds3, go to driver manager, click load driver, and it'll say motionjoy driver fail..error code:0X-1ffffdb9. I did everything I did the first time so why isn't it working this time? it makes no sense what so ever
Why can't I have motionjoy on my laptop?

Delete and reinstall the driver.

if I did a factory restore the driver would no longer be on my laptop..
It should be but something seems to be kicking it out when you load the App.
My guess is that the driver is missing or buggy do to the restore. It should only take about 2 mins to install the driver and then you'll know if it works or not.

When I clicked load driver the first time I did this a box popped up and asked if I wanted to install the driver, after the restore the same thing should happen when I click load driver but I get an error at the bottom of the motionjoy game pad instead. I did everything the same as last time so I have no idea why it isn't working like it did the first time. I'm on windows 8.1 btw
