what's the best energy saveing program for windows98 or dos for compaq laptops!

i have 2 battery's that hold a charge each for 1hour and 30min.
i was wondering if there's a program that i can get more time out of laptops battery's.

built into windows, it has powersaving features, and please go out to newegg.com, spend 135 dollars, and get a copy of windows xp pro

That would be a complete waste of 135 dollars for too many reasons. Just get cpuidle, works great.
