what virus scanner software is good

what would you guys reccomend, because I've got an annoying virus that won't go away.. I use AVGbut it can't find it...

I use NOD32. Or used before Vista.

AVG is excellent, you must update your virus definitions, as with any other virus. However are you actually sure you have a virus?

Kaspersky and NOD32 have the highest detection rates among most virus scanners. NOD32 is recommended by many enthusiasts for it's low resource use.

What virus is it?

I use AVG and am very pleased with it. If it can't even find the virus, maybe it's not a virus, but spyware of some sort.

My personal favorites for removing spyware, if/when needed, are Spybot Search & Destroy and AdAware.
