What are the worst types of pop-ups?

Personally it would have to be this type...the company are telling me that I can protect my privacy by downloading this software which probably contains mucho spyware. And it is doing so in a manner that makes it look all official. Total gits, I bet you most newbies will actually fall for this sort of thing too!

Asides from stuff like this I guess sick porn pop-ups would be infuriating too (though never had any of the level of sickness that would offend). Oh and anything that tries to install a dialer is a big no no... asides from the things listed I don't mind pop ups too much; and I don't even bother to block them.

I think that those full-screen popup's with the [X] button removed are the most annoying because you have to close them with Alt+F4

Well, use FireBird, and you won't get any popups :D
But anyway, ads that promise that they would make your cock bigger are the worse...

I haven't seen a pop-up since switching to Mozilla.:D On a similar note however, I really detest the spam email that offers to sell me software that stops spam email.

I hate pop-ups that have the ability to reproduce.

Heh, the ol' close one and 3 more appear trick...I remember that, in the long long ago :p

That popup is right in one respect though, internet explorer hides your surfing history in a hidden directory as well as the regular one, and does not clear it when you hit the "clear history" button.

The MOST annoying ones are the ones that hide in the task bar and open 50 million windows, and when you go on a closing spree, you close the original window you wanted to view  . And they normally open two or three more hidden pop-up generators. They used to lock up my system opening so many IE windows...So much for "advertisement". But I have had no problems since I switched to Crazy Browser. Now I'm trying out Opera, and it seems good so far...

The worst popups are either porn popups that cover-up the whole screen or those with reproducing abilities. I used to be a newbie about popups and I would have no idea how to close those full screen porn popups (at warez sites), imagine the pain I had to go through when my mum came in and I had to explain it to her that I wasn't watching porn.

Serves you right for going to a warez site IMO.

Downloaded Firebird earlier and have to say I like it - it seems to download text first before adding pictures (which IE doesn't always do). So it seems slightly quicker for me. Though it doesn't seem to show the layout for the reply box exactly right - but that's a small point.

Anyways back on topic, how could I forget the multiple spawning pop-ups I hate them with a vengeance. At the moment I have all pop-ups blocked except any that may happen on Emulation64, or Emutalk. I will add some more sites to my exclusion list later, I don't want to block adverts from the sites that I actually enjoy :)

I really love great feature of Mozilla - just rightclick inside popup window and you'll see "prevent pop-up windows from this site"
