Vigilante 8:2nd Offense Frame rate/graphics issue

Vigilante 8 and Vigilante 8: 2nd Offense work on my pj64 but during the menu screens there is the typical fuzzy/flies graphics problem and during gameplay the frame rate lags at around 20 frames per second, which is slow.

I tried reinstalling the roms but still the issue exists. I want to know if there is a problem with just me or if vigilante 8 just doesn't work on pj64. can anyone suggest something? thanks

ps. my pj64 plays about 20 or so other roms just fine and i have a very powerful pc so specifications is not a problem.

AFAIK, Vigilante 8 doesn't really work great with any emulator nor graphics plugin. So there's not much you can do about it now. You might want to try Glide64 and hactarux's or ziggy's wrapper, and see what you get with that.
