Using a PS3 controller

After I installed Project64 and started playing, I wondered if I could use my PS3 controller.
Well, I went to the controller settings and Project64 does pick up the controller, but I can't use it.
So, any suggestions?

Did you install the sixaxis drivers?

Can you run me through a step-by-step procedure on how to do this after installing the libusb thing? I open the ps3sixaxis program, it says 5 busses, then a whole bunch of lines come up too quickly for me to read, then the program just shuts down.

Then you hit the PS button and set up the controller and junk in Project64.
