In order to 'enforce' there patents a large pool of companies have gotten together in order to pool there patents to enforce 'blue' ray compliance, this is the "ONE BLUE" initiative.Another group Premier BD exists for a similar purpose.
Lots of politics on this one. None of them good or beneficial, it's quite a hypocritical move if you examine the list of companies (and examine where they moved there production facilities too).
