super smash problem

i just got a controller adapter so that i can play super smash on project 64 with a controller.

BUT...i cannot do the stuff that needs to be done in super smash.
for example, i cannot hold z and then hit the analog stick and roll. i cannot run. i cannot do a power attack.

does anyone know how to fix this problem?

You probably need to calibrate the analog stick.

ive already done that and it hasnt helped me to able to do things in super smash that require me to .... say......hit the analog stick to left twice to run left. you see what im saying?

Use the N-rage input plugin and mess with the sensitivity and deadzone settings if need be.
