Super Mario 64:Finding the Flying Cap

I need to get the fourth star in the first course of Super Mario 64, but in order to get it I need the Flying Cap. Does anyone know where to find it?

wasnt it in the main room of the castle. you look up to the ceiling and it brings you to a level where you can get it?....
its been a while since i played and i could be msitaking with something else

You need 10 Power Stars first, and then stand on the rug in the main foyer and look up to the ceiling.

Uhm... What does this have to do with cheats? This is a game question... Aren't those not allowed?
