speed up does not work

currently using project64 with zelda MM and MQ, i remember a few weeks ago the speedup did work, now it does not anymore. what could be the reason? tried to change some little things in the option but nothing helped

What are you referring to exactly? The only option that could be considered a "speedup" would be the framerate throttle (F4). Disabling that will run the game as fast as your specs will allow.

Also, make sure sync game to audio is disabled in the audio plugin, and that you have disabled vsync in your graphics driver settings and video plugin. Then press F4 as Allnatural says. Some games don't like the limiter disabled, like Banjo-Kazooie, but most are fine with it.
