What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart

Some Rom/Textures Problems

Hi, I have a texture pack made specifically for ZELDA MASTER QUEST in project64, I found the rom and the rom seems to be read by project64 as just THE LEGEND OF ZELDA.

I don't know how to fix this problem, perhaps I could somehow change the header of the rom or something, I've download a few I it all shows up as the same. Anyone have any similar problems, or can possibly help me?

Not sure but maybe that's just how it reads. Did you try playing and seeing if it is the Master Quest? If not I guess you just might have to find another one.

It certainy isn't Master Quest, as it would read "ZELDA MASTER QUEST", not "THE LEGEND OF ZELDA", which is the original Ocarina of Time. I'd say, bad ROM.

IIRC the unaltered rom also say "THE LEGEND OF ZELDA", it was altered later to prevent the rom to conflict with the non-master quest save files.
Same applies to the Debug Version.

To use that ROM with the pack, you'd need to batch-rename all the image files in the pack and the folder to the correct THE LEGEND OF ZELDA name. There are various ways of doing this including using the command line and wildcards, so I'm sure another forum member who's done it can point it out to you.
