May be the end, may not be. Whatever though, the source will be released so other authors can perhaps contribute to the project.

I reckon it'll be here within the month, but who knows - I have no inside knowledge of a planned release (unfortunately! lol)

I'm worried, since programming is no easy task [especially an application such as Chankast] there may not be enough people that are devoted/skilled enough for the project to continue thriving.

I guess it all depends on how clean/well documented the source is, as well as the availability of technical documentation based on the real DC and it's subsystems. There are a number of technically minded people already here, and the release of the source is sure to attract more propeller-heads. Who knows, maybe another team can be formed to continue the work.
