Slowdown in fullscreen

When I play project 64 in fullscreen mode the performance isn't as good as when it is windowed. When windowed it runs flawlessly. I thought full screen is supposed to help as the computer concentrates more on PJ64. Is there a setting I'm missing that can fix this?

I have a laptop with a 1.6 GHZ Intel Core Duo processor, 512MB RAM and Intel 950 GMA graphics.

I knew someone would point that out. But like I said, it runs fine when windowed.

Yeah, I've tried lowering it, using 16 and 32 bit colour modes, and the different full screen sync options. The sound skipping is lessened with lower resolutions but it's still present and annoying.

Also what game(s) are you trying to play, I have a duel opinion card(switch controls the card I use) one use my main (nvida go 7400) other for stamina intel gma 950. I never try any emulation on it so far.(I don't plan onto either)
