Ok i started a save file on pj64 with banjo tooie, and spent alot of time in it but now I want to switch to 1964 with custom plugins so I doesnt freeze anymore but when I open the exact same rom in 1964 my file is gone. Any idea how I can get my same file in 1964?

Just start playing the game with 1964 and save it so that it creates a save file.

Take that save file and copy the file name and rename your PJ64 save file using that file name.

As long as its a native save it should work.

Make sure you back up your PJ64 save first.

What is the save file type in PJ64? In the save folder theres 4 files with the following types: .mpk, .pj and .eep These no . sav files which 1964 uses for loading a state. Sorry I'm a noob when it comes to N64 emulation.

.eep is the battery save. .mpk is a MemPak file and .pj is a Project64 savestate.

This is just an example

I believe the game uses a battery though Im not 100%

BANJO TOOIE.eep is the name of my pj64 save file

BANJO TOOIE-C2E9AA9A475D70AA.eep is the name of my 1964 save file

So if I wanted my PJ64 file to work with 1964 I would rename PJ64 BANJO TOOIE.eep to 1964 BANJO TOOIE-C2E9AA9A475D70AA.eep. Then just make sure that the file is in the save folder that 1964 use.

It should work with .mpk files too but again Im not 1000% sure on that either.
