Rogue Squadron Problem

I was trying to play this game on pj64 but the starting screen flickers then I would end up at this screen with a half "N" on it and the other half is black...After looking at the front page of the pj64 site (they had a pic of the game being played), I was confused why I couldn't play it. Maybe it was a setting proble, most likely graphics (I tried other games and they worked it's just Rogue Squadron that doesn't.

Rogue Squadron only works in PJ64 1.7, which is not released.

Game only works in the beta version of PJ64 using the LLE graphics option (available via $20 or more donation) - however it isn't really playable (runs at about 5fps if you are lucky).

that is if you can find it at a used game store
it's a good game but also a rare game

Rogue Squadron is one of the best games for the N64. However, it's a very difficult game to emulate. However emulates this game first will have raised the bar to a new level.
