question about full screen

When I go to full screen resolution after i finish playing it wont let me go back and exit game even when I press escape, anyone know why?

im having this problem too and its extremely annoying does anyone know how to fix this?

i need to know how to exit fullscreen and be able to adjust the options in the menu up top without having to restart
