problems with PERFECT DARK

Hi, after I beat mission 2, then I try to go to next mission but the game freeze ( the music are still playing though ), it won't let me go on into mission 3. It freeze when I try to click on Abort, Accept e.t.c. Can anyone help? Could it be the Nvidia new driver?

Spec:

PJ64 1.5
Geforce 2 400mx
driver: Nvidia newest version
directx 8.1
winxp
1.7 ghz, 128 ram

Known problem

With Perfect Dark, lock up crashing with the music still playing
if and when between stages is a known problem, but ramdom.
If the above problem happens, just reload
Perfect Dark and when I said ramdom, it means it don't
always happen at the same spot thus you are not trapped
from going futher and still will be able to complete Perfect Dark.

To reload Perfect Dark, choose "End Emulation" on the File
menu and double click on Perfect Dark on the ROM list.
(you must restart Perfect Dark)

before the end of level 2, I did use PJ64 saved. I keep trying to load the saved state and going into Level 3, but it keep locking me up.

Should I try not to use the save state from PJ64? What if I try to beat the mission again, and at the end it lock me up lain:

try using cheats from the pull down menu 2 skip the problem like the all level 1 or sumthing like that

I NEVER had this problem, but okey, I'm using 1964 and maybe that makes the difference. Try passing the mission with 1964.

BTW, check your rom with Goodn64.

i also i have never had this problem in 1964 OR pj64 but i suppose that specs can withstand the game

Correct, don't use a state.

If you are talking about my Nintendo 64 ROMs, they were
checked with Good N64 and they are all good ROMs.
BTW, I even re checked all of the Nintendo 64 ROMs after
copying them to other disks to make sure my PC is not
corrupting the Nintendo 64 ROMs.

wow, thanks guy, that's a lot of reply.

Beat the game yesterday. As RJARRRPCGP said, the lock up is random only, and I'm still able to use save state.

Tips for someone who getting lock up like me:

If it lock up when the new mission objective appear, just reset (F1) and load it from the real saved file of PD. It will be there!

Remember to save the way you should in the game, too, as states may get corrupt if overused.
