I'm using the newest Rice's Daedalus.

Likely cause: If you have a high-end video card you can try switching to OpenGL instead of Direct X (I too get a black screen using Direct X) or using 3D Analyse with Direct X (to find out about this program and where to get it, use the search option of these forums).

System specs would help a lot (Start>Run then type "dxdiag" without quotes to find out your specs if you don't know)

OpenGL is gray....darn it...

I have a 16MB GeForce2 Go, P$ at 1.7GHz, and 256 MB RAM. And a 20GB HD.
