Problem with net

Hi,
when I add a new connection to my network connections(dial-up) it is there but when I click connect it diappears!!!!!! It never happened before. So what should I do?

Some things occours on specific users profiles. Especially with 2k/xp as they require at least two profiles (admin and another).
Try to do a new profile and see what happens.

Does it even dial or does the new dial up connection you make just disappear?

If it does dial then you could just always re-add it and then dial.

If it doesn't dial (and the modem is working), then I suggest contacting Microsoft or the company that made your computer. I am assuming that it does dial since you are on the internet right now...

Dailing is not the problem..... disconnecting is the problem
because only the "network connections" folder's icon disappears notr the one on my desktop.
