I have a epson stylus c42sx and every time i started up winxp, it would start really really slow, just as doom 3 would run on my PC right now if it was on stores, Its unbearable, so I fixed the prob by deactivating into msconfig the service called "print spooler", so, everytime i start windows I can not use the printer but system runs full speed(now everytime I need to print something I have to activate the service again and wait for hours, coz its slow as i said). Is there some way to fix this without having to deactivate the printer and be able to print in normal speeds again?
