Paper Mario Outta Sight Issue?

nothing has been buggy or wrong with this rom thus far.

I'm playing with a pc adaptable xbox controller. when I try to use bow's outta sight skill, the moment I attempt to move around as mario, it ends. therefore, I can't walk through walls, which is totally necessary to advancing.

I've tried reconfiguring my controller, but even with different buttons/cues, it doesn't work.

is there anything I can do?

That's not a bug, you cant move with Field Outta Sight (OS not in battle) if you move, it ends. and you cant try walk through wall until you get to chapter 4, where you must stand still on a conveyor with OS to get through

Outta site is only used to evade enemies or hide. like the_poor said in chapter 4 in the toy box is the only wall you use that on to go through a wall and you have to stand on a conveyor belt.
