Need help cant play Legend of Zelda OOT

I got this pJ 64 emulator and installed it I also got Legend of Zelda OOT ROM but every time I enter the shop in the village to buy a deku shield the whole thing just freezes and I need to restart it. I have v1.6 of PJ64 even with Majoras Mask it has the same problem when I enter a room it freezes need help...

Make sure that your ROM is good. Are you using the default plugins? Are you using cheats? What are your computer specs?

Try a different ROM of it.
