N64 real image quality on PC - SweetFX preset.

I would like to get close to the original N64 image quality on the LCD monitor. I need two tricks. First is sweetfx + preset.

Install Steps :

. Download SweetFX 1.3 or above and extract it into 1964 directory,
. Download http://www.mediafire.com/?pwhbv1qr5qclgvq, extract it into the directory where you already have your SweetFX_settings.txt (this will add CRT.H and overwrite your Main.h in the Shaders sub-folder)
. Check the new CRT Settings section in the SweetFX_settings.txt, for instance you can disable curvature by setting CRTCurvature to 0.

It works only with dx9 video plugin. :(

We need also ability to stretch the native resolution into window size. In hi-res IQ is far from original. But we don't have plugin with such feature. :(

In PCSX2 there is one:

WTF?

1. I suppose you need to download this shader program and place it in the folder you have 1964 right?
2. "Download http://www.mediafire.com/?pwhbv1qr5qclgvq, extract it into the directory where you already have your SweetFX_settings.txt (this will add CRT.H and overwrite your Main.h in the Shaders sub-folder)" So I suppose that's the shader, but "this will add CRT.H and overwrite your Main.h in the Shaders sub-folder"? Does this mean I need to add the program and shader in the 1964 source folder, and then compile it?
3. If you want the original N64 resolution, then configure the graphics plugin to 320x240 resolution (or 640x480 if the game supports hi-res). If you want it stretched, then go fullscreen (with the 320x240 resolution).
4. ...And last, why would you want to just degrade the image quality?

1. right
2. nope
3. I want it stretched to windows size, like in pcsx2 gds plugin
4. degrade? For me in low-res n64 IQ is more natural, soft. In hi-res is poor, looks like lego.

You should link directly to the original post on guru3D forum (I'm the one who posted there) which has a working download link :

sweetfx is oversaturated crap, i can't believe people are blind enough to realism to claim "real" image quality.

Get off my internet.

That's like saying Photoshop is oversaturated crap...
On the other hand, sweetfx users do have a tendency to abuse saturation, but you gotta blame them, not the tool : )
