Mia Hamm 64 doesn't work

I am trying to run the game and whenever I play it, it never starts and is just a black screen. Any way to play the game?

I've never even heard of the game. What does the ROM Browser say in the Notes column? Chances are that the game is either not supported or the ROM is bad.

I do believe Glide64 supports this game playably, so pick up the latest version.

Mia Hamm Soccer 64 has the same unsupported opcode like Michael Owens WLS 2000 and Stunt Racer 64 IIRC. You could probably try the Z64 LLE Plugin. Dunno whether it will work.
