Loading .fla files?

I'm really confused on how to use .fla files. It should be a save file, but it doesn't seem like PJ64 has any idea what it is. PJ64 only offers to save and load .zip or .pj format, I'm not sure where flash comes in. I got this fla file from the save files thread. The thread had no information on how to open the save states, but probably because most of them are .zip or .pj files. If that were the case then I'd have to problem here but it's this .fla extension instead

I have the .fla file the correct directory. So, I can't figure out how to load this file. Can anyone help? Thanks.

The .fla file is a native save, NOT a save state. They are loaded automatically provided that the save is in the correct folder (saves subfolder), and the name of the file name is the same as the Internal Name of the ROM file. Also, make sure the save folder is not set to read-only.

Thanks, got it working. The Save folder was read-only. I guess all folders are read only by default.
