Kirby 64 problem (lockup)

I always liked this game on my N64, and now I tried running it on EMU.

I have Rice Plugin 6.0 and it displays the game perfect.

But as soon as I use a copied ability it locks up, and the only way to continue is the press Start and replay the level.

This, off cource, takes out all the fun.

PC specs: PentiumIV 3GHZ 1Gb ram ATI radeon9700 card.

Is this either a known issue of 1964, or is there some kind of fix?

1964 issue, you can turn off CP1 Exceptions in the rom properties to solve it. Though I recollect Schibo saying that was pointless a while back as it just masks some other issue. Memory may be faulty.

Anyways, just use PJ64 with Rices plugin I figure just in case.

I see, thanks, I used rice plugin with PJ64, but then the GFX turns crappy again :p.

Ah well, il just wait till N64 emulation gets even better then it already is ;)

Rices plugin should be the same in PJ64, did you by any chance forget to copy the .ini over too? I don't know that for certain though, maybe it does have an interaction with 1964 that it doesn't in PJ64.

I will try again then, I will edit this post in a minute with the result :)

Cool, that fixed it, im still missing minor effects, but that is because I change my settings, Im able to get those back :)
