ISO Question! - Not Illegal!!

In the FAQ it says to run images of games instead of from disc, but say I had a DVD-ROM which had ISO's on it

Example:
d:\
-Shenmue disk 1.cdi
-Shenmue disk 2.cdi
-Shenmue disk 3.cdi

Could I tell daemon tools to look at the DVD to load the image into its memory, which would mean that chankast would not use the disc at all but the mounted one in Daemon!?

Just trying to save some hard drive space!!

yes, you can do that, you can mount the cdi(s) with daemon, each image to a virtual drive, the main point is that you need to change the working drive of chankast to you desired virtual drive with the desired cdi.

And it wouldn't affect performance of the emu?

I think it wouldn't because when you load into daemon then the iso is in the computer memory, or does it still read from the ISO? (Which would be on the disc = performance decrease?!?)

it still reads from the disk .. it just uses a bit of memory as a buffer ... you can test this by loading up an image then looking in task manager .. you will see that deamon DOESNT take 640MB of system memory
HardDrives are still TONS faster than any cd/dvd rom out their , thats where the speed comes from .. mostly because HD's never stop spinning where cd's and dvd's spin down alot .. more than they need to i belive.
