Is there a way to fix this?

I have put Chankast in my MAME cab that is connected to the PC with a J-Pac with the detault keyboard layout. I configured the keyboard to match the standard cab controls but the blue DC button is mapped to left-alt.

When I play Ikaruga and hit the blue button it gives focus to the menu making the game unplayable. This isn't a problem for any other emulator that runs in a window, eg. Zinc

Is there a way to prevent the left-alt giving menu focus during gameplay?

I find it easier to use a Playstation 2 controller through a USB adapter. You could maybe have the controller on the side or something, or in a little compartment and take it out when you want to play games on Chankast. Sorry, I don't know much about cabinet setups but for me a Playstation 2 controller works well for Chankast.
