Well, you may not have gotten a virus before, but if you do get one and you don't detect it, it can really screw up your machine. You more vulnerable if your on a boadband connection, like a cable modem. Ususally if you have a fire wall it will prevent people from planting virii like that. Then you just have to worry about email and web pages.
