Save stating can really make games far easier and ruins them. You can save in most games at any point anyway, and 80% of games without battery back-up/mem card support suck majorly. The save points in the games were there for a reason and makes for a more challenging game.
I don't use emulation tricks such as fastforward, cheats or savestates, since my gaming skills are truely godly!
