Hibernation

What are the advantages an the disadvantages of Hibernation? Any risks of it? Power Consumption?

Pro. Hibernation turns your computer completely off.
Con. Hibernation closes your internet/ethernet connection. (also does this in standby)
Pro. It saves everything in memory to your hard drive.
Con. I'm not sure of the risks, but data corruption is a possibility.
Pro. Your computer starts up much much faster than with a complete re-boot.
Con. Your computer won't be as quick, and you won't get all of the perks like you would with a re-boot.

Don't use hibernation, for your spec, restarting are just about as fast as hibernation
All hibernation does is keep all the stuff you have opened there when you reboot.

Hibernation is pretty good though but i have to press ctrl+alt+delete to choose shut down then hibernate but on the normal one when i press shut down its not there any advice to how to put it

When you do the normal shutdown, press shift at the shutdown screen, the standby option will now turn into the Hibernate one.
