Help me, It's Too Slow!!!

LISTEN TO THIS, when I FIRST got PJ64, it worked great with 60 FPS. While I was playing some Blast Corps, It all of a sudden slowed down to 5 FPS. A restart fixed it and I was playing at 60 again. Then it happened again, the restart fixed it like usual... But when it happened a third time, a restart wouldn't fix it at all... And Ever since that, te highest I could get is 15!!! And also, NEMU worked at 60 FPS too, STILL does!


Specs: 1Ghz 256MB RAM GeForce2 MX400 Windows ME

Maybe you have selected RGB in the video plugin.
You have to select D3D HAL

probably messed up some options.. delete the registery keys(project64\uninstall)

FIGURED IT OUT

I FINALLY FIGURED IT OUT!!!! AS A LAST RESORT, I DOWNLOADED VERSION 1.3 AND IT WORKS BEATIFULLY AGAIN!!!! You might want to figure out why 1.4 goes slow........

Seems to be a problem with you computer or settings. PJ64 (all versions) have always worked beautifully on my computer, without slowdowns... You might want to try updating the drivers for your sound card and video card.

One other thing... Windows ME!? That may be a problem... That is a very problematic O/S in general.

What the heck? A 900 MHz P2?!? I thought they only went to 500 MHz.

You're missing one 'I' right... P3? Or am I an idiot?

BTW: On the orig problem, make sure your framebuffer is turned off in PJ64 1.4's video plugin options.

PJ64 1.4 is slow and jerky, but PJ64 1.3 FPS is OK??

PJ64 1.3 was the slowest and jerkiest of them all.

PJ64 1.3 had a fair number of games' speed broken:

1080, Snowboard Kids (1) and Doom 64 are severly slow and jerky!!! probably only around 4 FPS!!!!!!

I was very disappointed the day I tested Project 64 1.3,
the day it was released (September 1, 2001), to find out
Snowboard Kids (1) runs very rough like a sputtering
V8 engine!!! and Goldeneye 007 character gfx on intro cut
