Having Trouble with my USB > PS2 controller Adapter

Hi, I ordered one of these and it arrived today, I can't seem to get it working. I installed the driver, plugged it in, but what now? theres no configuration utility, there isn't any sign of it in control panel> controllers yet its working because the lights in it are shining?
can anyone help?

Check you control panel and look in game controllers and make sure it's listed. Are you sure the drivers loaded ok? check that in system properties and go into hardware tab and choose device manager and make sure there's no conflicts with it.

no conflicts, and they're not appearing in the game controllers

Is it one of those dual adaptors? (with 2 PSX connections on it).
