Hardware questions

My setup is:
Athlon 64 3000+ running at 2.2ghz
1GB ram
ATI Radeon X300 onboard graphics

what kind of performance should i be looking to get? mostly, i'd like to just be able to play mario party with some friends over, but playing some other games would be nice too.

Most games are only pulling 4 or 5fps due to current emulation. Gamecube emulation is still too new to play anything at a reasonable speed.

But hey, you can still buy the real thing. It would run at smooth 100% original performance!

Or if you happen to have an old time machine laying around, you can always go to the future and grab an Athlon 64 FX-604 that should run the games at full speed, but emulation will still be buggy and possibly crash. But, hey, while you're in the future maybe you can grab a more stable copy of Dolphin if one's been written.
