I am using win98se 333 mhz mmx celeron 128mb ram
I play PerfectDark once, then ran the emu again. I have a verto 32 mb geforce2

The harddrive thrashes alot.

I can play simulant mode ok(fast enough) .:1964:
...just so you can fix the bugs

the same thing began to appen to me on my old computer after installing new video card driver (the emu crashed the second time I ran it). Try changing your video card driver.
BTW which driver version do you have?

On my old computer (the one that gave me that problem) I managed to fix the problem this way:
Control Panel -> NVIDIA nView desktop manager
and then check the "nView desktop manager" option.
I don't know why, but this worked for me.

If I do that it causes errors in zlib and the nview thing also causes errors in other apps

I just have to restart my computer if I want to play PD more than once per session
