err.. agp disabled???

I try to turn it on, but it won't work. SMARTGART just keeps it at off even when i put it up to 8x or 4x after i restart. According to dxdiag agp is not supported.. wtf is going on?

My first guess is that the AGP chipset drivers are not installed

Look up your computers motherboard manual and find out who made the chipset for it, then look at their website and download their AGP chipset drivers.

I don't notice a difference between AGP being "off" or 4x or 8x... its not really off... heh

:huh: .. I'm used to just putting in my mobo without those drivers... anyways i did, and it worked, but now when i put it at 8x the screen goes blank and everything freezes. Anyone have an idea what's causing that problem? Maybe i'll look later to see if i have some JP on my board near my agp slot..

edit: nvm i just found out.. i'm gonna need to enable DBI output.

edit2: worked and with it i got a 300 point increase in 3dmark03 and 1,000 point increase in aquamark with cpu and graphics card.. totaling a 10,000 point increase overall . Finally my system is where it should be.
