"Emulator Exception Error" with Ocarina of Time

When I try to play a The Legend of ZELDA: Ocarina of Time ROM, (I believe it is a .V64 file), I get a Emulator Exception Error. The game still runs, techically, but I get a "No Controller" text, half of the textures don't work (for example, the logo is a yellow pattern, and the dust kicked by the horse is big squares), and the sound is scratchy. What should I do? Thank you for your time.
EDIT: This IS with 1964.

I'm not exactly proud of my computer but I thought it could handle a n64 game...

Video Card: ATI Technologies Inc. RAGE 128 PRO Ultra GL AGP
Audio Card: Intel(r) 82801BA/BAM AC'97 Audio Controller
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 1400MHz
RAM: 128mb (I don't know any details...)

I don't know what all I should've shown, but I hope that helps. I will check out goodn64. I have DirectX 9.0c installed.

oldie video card, and it´s not good for emulation.
