E or U ??

So, E roms work at 50 and U roms work at 60. So is it better to run the E rom if your system is a little "speed challenged" or does it make little difference.
Also, i once read that compatibility of games is geared towards U roms. Is this really the case ?

If i was borderline "system specs" for running roms at full speed, then which "should" run best ? U or E ?
