Dual Monitor works crap

I am using two analog monitors (one at a VGA port one at the DVI port with a DVI to CRT adapter). When I play on the primary monitor it works well but when I move it on my secondary monitor (I wanna play on this screen) the FPS go down to Zero although DXDiag can work with the second monitor. And if I go on full screen Project 64 always uses monitor 1.

Direct 3d works fine on both monitors.
I am using:

A Geforce 4 Ti-4200 8x (with DVI, VGA, TV-Out)
Jabos Direct 3d 6
(Jabos DirectSound/
NRage DInput)
AMD Athlon 1800+
768 MB RAM

Oh I found out one thing...

on monitor 2 NVidia uses an emulated GFX card:

NVIDIA Dualview

so I would have to tell PJ64 or Jabos Plugin to use Nvidia Dualview instead of NVIdia GF4 TI4200...

how do i do that

riiiiight. I think i know what Jabo would say. Other Direct3D games work the way you want? Can you select something new under Rendering Device in plugin options? It might not be possible, really this is beyond what was expected/tested for.

I have a (half) solution...

To your question, no I cannot select my D3d-device, PJ64/Jabo's D3D just uses the primary adapter... other programe like 3dMark or Serious Sam (in D3d and OpenGL mode) support dual monitors (Serious Sam even offers showing the game on both monitors) however I found out how to change monitor 2 to the primary monitor for D3D but not for Windows. So windows programs still use monitor 1 as the primary monitor and D3D uses monitor 2 ist primary... unfortunately PJ64 recognizes me changing the primary adapter so if I switch Monitor 1 to Primary again, PJ64 moves to 0 FPS.

It's probably because the second display (if you're using that 'dualview' thing to do independant displays) is emulated.

AFAIR GF4Ti doesn't support multiple render targets, so it can't do dual independant displays at speed, except for 2D.

Serious Sam IIRC just outputs NETRICSA to the second display, and that doesn't use the 'dualview' system, it uses just the primary driver.

Doomulation

?????????????????????????
Can't you connect the second monitor just as you connect tv-out and use the clone feature of nview?

Yeah, I can but the monitors would show the same then...

I want them to show two different "pictures".

If you want better windowed performance on the second monitor you HAVE to disable the Dualview dummy card... so the core does dual monitor across BOTH screens. It'll reduce performance on the primary monitor a little bit but it's a good tradeoff.

Hey, that worked... but now playing in full screen got funny cause it uses both monitors... it looks a little bit stretched (other games like Serious Sam are able to handle that but not Jabos D3D) but this does not matter, I'll play in a window then and deactivate one screen for fullscreen playing...
