Does the quality of games you download vary?

Also im sorry if this question is against the rules...!

I just want to know, because i own a huge collection of N64 games, when you download a N64 rom to play on PJ64, does the quality of vary? because some games are large ( lots of kb ) some arent. Also, some games are US and some are PAL???

To say nothing about ROMs in particular, given certain circumstances any file you download off the internet can be corrupted either on the server, in transit to you, or on your own machine.

You're not asking for ROMs so no ban-on-sight, but this thread does pose a question targeted specifically at illegal ROM downloaders.
