DirectX SDK dxsdk_jun2007.exe install

All right does anyone off hand know how to bypass the OS version check on this SDK? (It's freaking anoying LOL). I'm would like to install it on a win2K system.

Although a simple question the answer probably isn't so simple

Not really sure to be honest. You could try manually unpacking the installer using WinRAR and then just use the headers and libs....

http://forums.microsoft.com/MSDN/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=248999&SiteID=1 someone here mentions that the file can be unpacked by archiving programs and thus files extracted... I'd give it a whirl (as mudlord suggested)

Manually unpacking does have it's disadvantages though. But I guess there's no other way

I suppose I'll have to go and buy XP but it isn't in my price range! (9.95 in a bargin bin ).

Isn't there a service pack which is supported by DXSDK? Everything else supported in XP is also supported in 2kSP3 (not sure about the number though).

Just stop using Windows (j/k)
