Controller Problem

I have a Wingman Rumblepad, but no matter which input plugin I use (I'm currently trying to use N-Rage Version2 1.82a) I cannot get 1964 to recognize the controllers input commands (meaning the darn thing isn't working). I selected the "Default Config" settings for the button assignments and the controller is listed in the "Device" dropdown box. However, the game can be controlled with the keyboard.

The Wingman controller works within Windows and other games, but it does not work within 1964 or Project64.

Any clues or suggesions?

Tried assigning any commands to see if it work? Tried calibrating it ? Tried updating drivers (if there is any of course)?
