Code veronica cd 2 problem

I have a problem with re code veronica on cd 2
its at the point in which chris got into the controll room and see alexia singing
then the sequence with wesker comes but the sound is very noisy and not understandable but after this sequence my chankast crashes

I did everything now from changing bios from pal to us
or running the game on another computer

can somebody help me plz

try to skip this sequence

when i skip this sequence at any point he crashes
and if i let the sequence run to the end it crashes too.
he only shows that chankast must be closed
and game over for me.

can it be that my image is corrupted?
because at other pcs the problem is the same

I have an cdi image of the second disc.
