Banjo-Tooie is slow

For some reason every time I play Banjo-Tooie, the game stalls and I tend to lose my place.
This is what it says on my ROM list:

Is this why the game seems so slow? What should I do and how do I do it?

Are you using Project64 1.6 with the latest RDB update?

Apparently not, since the notes say something about an unhandled opcode.
