That directdraw problem seems to occur to a lot of people. The author has made several releases in an effort to fix it.

(What video card do you have jaz? Maybe that has something to do with it... I'm just throwing out ideas...)

Here is a good interview with Jeff Minter (he of Tempest 2000 fame amongst other things). He is very pleased about the Emulator, it's a great thing when a game author and even a games company gets behind an Emulator like Jeff Minter and Atari have been doing.
