all problems I got

MY MACHINE:
Celeron 1.7 G
256Mb ram
onboard display : S3 prosavage
O/S: WIN 2000

I installed directX 0.9b , updated display driver,installed aspi driver, used daemon tool 3.26, 3.29, 3.34 and alcohol 120, tried 3D anaylse, used fastboot to made selfboot disk(cdi), but I still cant play CHANKAST. Whatever I done, it always show bios screen, i/o error, crashed, play cd screen, show "insert disc". These are all common problems but I got these all.
What can I do?

I run chankast in other machine PIII 667 with TNT2 M64, it also run failed and the bios display is bad.
Can I run chankast with TNT2 display card?
How many frame/s can run in PIII 667 if it works?

eh.. you need hardware t&l to use chankast, tnt2 doesn't have it, nor does the S3 prosavage if I remember correctly, heh

S3 prosavage + WIN 2000 = difficult to play now :bunny:

Old hardware+partly supported Win2K = many problems, even if you run it FPS will be really low and games totally unplayable...

how about change the display card to geforce 5500

If you get such a card try this topic http://www.emutalk.net/showthread.php?t=21999 to get it to work on win2k

It would run, just don't expect alot out of that Williamette Celeron 1.7. You'll prolly get half the FPS my [email protected] gets.
