Agh! Project 64 dosent work!

I cant do the D3D test coz it aint highlighted

In that case your card or your drivers don't support D3D and as such won't work (or initialise a D3D plugin). I would suggest OpenGL but I doubt you'd get much joy in that department either.

that isnt there, btw, may i note i am using a temporary desktop with no files except the main ones and PJ64, does that make a differenece?

I had the same problem..your monitor drivers are not installed and Windows uses some native drivers! You have to download the latest drivers for your card and your monitor. If you have a Nvidia card (just read the manuals that came with your PC or open the PC box and you will find your card!) go to www.nvidia.com and download the Detonator drivers. But first you have to install your monitor so good luck finding the drivers:)

hey thatnks..i think its the plugin..i tried the 1964 plugin...and it worked...but very very slow..anyone know a good plugin?

and i buyed a GeForce and i PLAYED !

1964 PLUGIN IS OpenGL
your card is running openGL not accerlated
and D3D HAL NEEDS 3D accerlation !
