I know that I'm not suppose to ask questions like these, but I swear I looked everywhere for the answer to this question so please disregard my ignorance.
I own a Dell Inspiron 5100, I recently downloaded Project64 v1.6, all the plugins are in the correct directories and everything was run correctly. I recently downloaded Super Smash Bros & Mario Kart 64 (don't worry, I have the original cartridges!).
I'm honestly not sure what graphics, or video card is installed on my Laptop, from what I have read though I cannot upgrade my card anyways, so if this is my problem I guess I'm screwed! I did download the latest version of DirectX though, not quite sure what Direct3D is, or if I have it.
Here are the errors I am getting:
-------------------------------
1.
Direct3D failed to initialize your HAL device make sure you have a properly configured 3D graphics card compatible with Direct3D 6.0
2.
The default or selected video plugin is missing or invalid.
Check that you have at least one compatible plugin file in your plugin folder.
-------------------------------
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
