  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart

Having Trouble Making a New Texture Pack

I've been trying to replace textures in Perfect Dark, but nothing seems to be working. I'm using Rice's 6.1.1 Beta with the Project 64 1.6 emulator to do the dumps. I got to the png_all folder, and alter the images. I have used both gimp 2.8 and photoshop, and merged the visible layers. I tried other games, but can't get anything to work with them, either. I looked at the names of the dumped files on other hi res texture packs, and the names that I get don't seem to be the same. Should I use another plugin? Another emulator? This seems like a simple process that shouldn't be kicking my butt like this. I can get texture packs made by others to work just fine. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I renamed a png image the same as an image in molly mutt's Mario 64 pack and my image loaded fine, leading me to conclude the problem is in the dump. I'm going to try dumping using 1964 and other versions of the Rice plugin.

I finally figured out I could dump using glide final by pressing D. Now my textures work. For some reason Rice won't.
