What's new
  • Most issues reported these days stem from users not enabling their emulators to use the required amount of RAM.
We also tend not to use the search feature but post our issues within the texture pack release page.
Failure to load a texture pack should not be posted in the release thread unless you have already patched the emulator.

If you don't have the resources to use Large/HD texture packs please do not attempt to do so.
Users should have a minimum amount of System RAM not less then 4GB's.
If you have less then 4GB's of RAM do not post about how your emulator crashes,
RAM is dirt cheap so invest some money into your PC.

I would like to say thanks to squall_leonhart
    for posting this Solution.

How do you make Hi res texture packs?

I've had project64 for years and have installed various Hi res texture packs for my favourite games but I don't know how I'm supposed to make my own. I have used software to alter textures in Super Mario 64 but have never been able to create Hi res textures or a texture pack.

I primarily want to retexture mario 64 using hi res textures but I don't want to use Toadstools because I remember it taking ages to import textures. So what do I need to accomplish my task.

I've been wanting to do this for a long time but have just started Uni and a bunch of other things have gotten in my way.

Thanks, Adam

Read the stickies in the 1964 --> Hi-res board. Custom textures are a plugin feature and not tied to any particular emulator.
